On April 24th some of the students in the A-3 program
participated in the 2014 Spring SciFair Showcase at the Wings of Eagles Museum
in Elmira and were featured in the Corning Leader. Here is the link to view the article
online.Steven Conklin, Hadden Crawford,
Dakota Root,JC Seymour, Bethany Windows
and Jordyn Agapito did a wonderful job of presenting their virtual world which
was based on the book “The Hunger Games” by Suzanne Collins.Chasetin Crane, Alexis Padgett, Abriana
Frawley-Corwin were also involved in creating the world but were unable to
attend the showcase. Some of the students were uncomfortable getting up in
front of an audience but they did it anyway and they did it well.I would like to thank Ann Marie Tuscany and
Jahn Greenfield for their effort in making this experience a fun and successful
one for the students.I am
very proud of what all of them accomplished and how they worked together and
taught each other and me, and of course, of what they learned while working on
this project.
